Sarnia Votes:
October 26
I am running for the position of Sarnia City Councillor.
My platform can be summed up as follows:
“A candid, future‑focused plan for growth, modern infrastructure, expanded housing, new investment, and coordinated action on homelessness — leaving behind the tired practice of draining reserves and the illusion of zero debt, a plan grounded not only in what we need, but in what it takes to achieve it.”
Testimonials
“While researching where the candidates stand, I found that Chris Oram has been doing some serious deep dives into many of the important issues. He is doing his homework and comes across as very level‑headed and reasonable. My wife and I both agreed Chris was someone we could support and ordered one of his lawn signs. Chris delivered the sign personally and instead of just sticking it in the lawn, he knocked on the door and thanked us for the support. We spent the next hour talking in our driveway. He listened to our concerns and he talked about what he hoped to achieve for the city. When he left, the first thing my wife said was ‘I like him. He listens.’ If you don’t know much about Chris, I suggest you take a look on his website. He is a serious candidate and I hope to see him elected to council.”

“I had the pleasure of working with Chris Oram on the Sarnia Police Service for many years. His work ethic was impeccable, and he was dependable whatever the task set before him. Chris was very approachable to discuss problems and offered realistic solutions.
An example of his dedication to his duty was shown by his offering to come into work on his own time, to work on cold cases and homicide investigations.
Due to this policing background Chris has extensive knowledge of Sarnia, its people and the needs of this community, and would be a valuable asset to the Council in providing adequate and cost effective services to the Sarnia community.
Chris has a witty sense of humour and keen intelligence which blend smoothly to make a well-rounded and practical candidate I heartily and unreservedly support.”

Chris,
"I've read your website in detail. You're the only candidate who offers solutions for Sarnia's woes using both real numbers and common sense. You're a natural for this gig!"
